Donk Bet
A bet made by an out-of-position player into the preflop raiser before the raiser has acted on that street. The name comes from 'donkey,' a term once used for a weak player. A lead can fit a range-based strategy in specific spots, but it is not automatically correct because the player is out of position.
Example
You called a pre-flop raise from the big blind, and the flop is 7♠6♣5♦ — perfect for your range. You lead out (donk-bet) into the raiser instead of checking to them.
