Min-Cash
The minimum payout in a tournament, earned by players who finish just inside the money positions. A min-cash in a large tournament is often only 1.5-2x the buy-in, which barely covers the investment. Skilled tournament players focus on deep runs and final tables rather than just surviving to min-cash.
Example
You squeaked into the money in 150th place out of 1,000 entries and won 1.5x your buy-in. It is a min-cash — barely profitable, but better than bubbling.
