Off-Chain
Transactions or processes that occur outside the main blockchain. Most crypto poker gameplay happens off-chain for speed and efficiency, with only deposits and withdrawals settled on-chain. Layer-2 solutions and payment channels enable near-instant off-chain transactions while maintaining blockchain security.
Example
During a poker session, your chip movements between hands happen off-chain inside the room's database. Only your deposit and withdrawal are recorded on the blockchain.
