Poker Basics

Short-Handed

A poker table with six or fewer players (also called 6-max). Short-handed games require wider opening ranges and more aggressive play compared to full ring because the blinds come around more frequently. Most online crypto poker cash games run in the 6-max format.

Example

At a 6-max table, you should open-raise about 25% of hands from the cutoff — much wider than the 15% you would play in a 9-handed game.
